Our recipes use the highest quality raw ingredients, sourced from Canada where possible. Our facility is located in St Marys, Ontario, Canada in the middle of Ontario’s agriculture belt. We are ideally situated for local ingredient sourcing throughout Canada and the USA. 

Each of our ingredients and ingredient suppliers are evaluated through our Nutrace program. We evaluate incoming ingredients for a variety of quality, safety and nutritional aspects.

Alfalfa (suncured)

Sourced from Canada, alfalfa is dried by solar means and then ground, producing alfalfa meal. Alfalfa meal provides the dietary fibre necessary for gut function and mobility, and helps with the formation of good stools. Also contains chlorophyll and beta-carotene antioxidants, and vitamin D (needed for proper use of minerals such as calcium by the body).       

Algae Meal (DHA)

A natural source of DHA, docosahexaenoic acid (an omega-3 essential fatty acid) that is fish-free and vegetarian. DHA is helpful in promoting the proper development of the brain and eyes in young growing animals as well as supporting cognitive function in senior animals. 

Aloe Vera

The cactus-like Aloe barbadensis is commonly used as a topical wound treatment but also has beneficial properties when eaten. It contains immunostimulants and has anti-inflammatory properties. 

Aniseed

The seeds from the herb, anise, are used as a digestive enhancer. It also has antimicrobial properties and provides a palatable flavour. 

Apples

A popular fruit in Canada and around the world, apples are an excellent source of pectin, a type of dietary fibre that promotes healthy gastrointestinal tract function. Apples also contain phenolic compounds that provide antioxidative activity to protect cells. 

Ascorbic acid

Ascorbic acid is included in many of our products under ‘vitamins’ in the ingredient deck. It is a stabilized form of vitamin C and although vitamin C is not essential to dogs and cats like humans, there are benefits to including it in the diet. Vitamin C acts as an antioxidant to protect cells from free radical damage and it also functions in tissue maintenance for skin and bones. 

Aspergillus Oryzae fermentation product (digestive enzyme)

Aspergillus oryzae fermentation product contains high levels of key digestive enzymes for the breakdown and absorption of carbohydrates. 

Bacillus licheniformis

A natural microflora (friendly bacteria) that may help the digestion process, thus providing more efficient utilization of food and produce bacteriocins, which act as natural antibiotics.

Barley Grass

At the early stage of growth, barley is a grass that is nutritionally closer to vegetables than it is to grains. It is a rich source of chlorophyll and flavonoids which have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Barley grass also contains protein, fibre, vitamins A and C, iron and potassium. 

Barley, pearled (ancient grain, Non-GMO (GI 45))

Pearled barley is produced from whole seeds that have been scoured to remove the seed hull and bran. Even with the hull and bran removed, pearled barley is a good source of dietary fibre and the soluble fibre ß-glucan, as these are distributed throughout the seed. ß-glucan slows the passage of food allowing a gradual digestion of starch and a steady supply of energy. Fibre also promotes satiety and the proper functioning of the gastrointestinal tract. 

Barley, whole (ancient grain, Non-GMO (GI 48))

Whole barley is the entire barley kernel chopped or ground. It is a whole grain with high levels of dietary fibre and the soluble fibre, ß-glucan. ß-glucan slows the passage of food allowing a gradual digestion of starch and a steady supply of energy. Fibre also promotes satiety and the proper functioning of the gastrointestinal tract.

Beef, Angus (deboned, fresh)

Angus beef is an excellent source of high-quality protein; it provides essential amino acids required for the growth and repair of muscle and can also be used for energy. The meat is delivered to our facility on the day of production to ensure freshness.

Beet Pulp (Sugar Removed)

A source of dietary fibre, it provides both soluble and insoluble fibres to promote healthy gastrointestinal tract function. 

Beta Carotene (Antioxidant) 

An antioxidant carotenoid, it works with other antioxidants such as vitamins E and C, within the cells of the body to control dangerous free radicals. Beta carotene is also a precursor to vitamin A in dogs; it is important for vision, bone growth, reproduction, and the function of the tissue lining all organs and blood vessels. 

Bifidobacterium bifidum

A natural microflora (friendly bacteria) that may help the digestion process, thus providing more efficient utilization of food and produce bacteriocins, which act as natural antibiotics.

Biotin  (vitamin B8)

Also known as vitamin B8, it is involved in the processing of the essential fatty acids, use of energy, and maintenance of the skin and coat. Biotin is also essential in the proper functioning of the nervous system that allows organs and cells within the body to communicate. 

Black Soldier Fly larvae (insect protein)

As the name implies, is the larvae of the black soldier fly. The larvae are a sustainable source of protein; they are raised on recycled food, reared using vertical farming techniques that do not use agricultural land and they require no water as they obtain enough from their diet. When mature, the larvae are dried and ground into a highly digestible protein meal that’s high in calcium, iron and lauric acid. 

Blueberries

Blueberries are rich in vitamins A & C, potassium, dietary fibre and various carotenoids that are valuable antioxidants. Blueberries provide flavour, taste and natural colouring to the diet. 

Brown rice (GI 66)

Ground brown rice is the entire product obtained in grinding the rice kernels after the hulls have been removed. An excellent source of complex carbohydrates, it provides quick energy and is loaded with B vitamins and minerals. 

Calcium Carbonate (mineral)

A natural source of calcium and other minerals essential to the development of healthy teeth and bones. 

Calcium iodate (mineral)

A source of iodine, this mineral used in the production of hormones in the body, which regulates growth and weight control. 

Calcium sulphate

Used in feline diets as a source of calcium, it also contributes to the proper urinary tract pH required for the prevention of feline urological syndrome.

Canola meal (GI 53)

A Canadian crop that provides a source of protein and energy, is hypoallergenic and highly digestible. Also provides some vitamins and minerals as well as fibre. 

Canola Oil (preserved with mixed tocopherols)

A non-rendered fat naturally preserved. Provides essential omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids for energy, healthy skin and coat, and good immune function. 

Carrots

Carrots are an excellent source of fibre and minerals. Also a good natural source of beta-carotene, an antioxidant essential for neutralizing free radicals. 

Cassava Root

Cassava is harvested as a root or tuber. It’s native to South America but grown throughout tropic and subtropical climates. This root vegetable provides both soluble and insoluble fibre, important for gut health, and is an excellent source of energy. It is a grain-free carbohydrate, great for pets that have sensitivities.     

Cassia Cinnamon

Cassia cinnamon has antiseptic, anti-fungal and anti-viral properties (especially effective against E. coli O157:H7), and is an immune system enhancer.       

Cellulose (powdered)

Source of fibre that is a key component of the proven hairball control blend being used in Trouw Nutrition cat formulas. Promotes a healthy digestive system by encouraging the movement of food and hair along the GI tract. 

Chamomile

Calms stress and anxiety, boosts immune system functioning, reduces gas formation and relaxes the lining of the digestive tract. 

Chelated minerals

Minerals bound to amino acids to increase bioavailability. See individual chelated mineral definition to learn it’s essentiality to the body.

Cooked chicken and turkey with water and fat content reduced is a concentrated source of highly digestible protein; it provides essential amino acids required for the growth and repair of muscle and can also be used for energy. Chicken and turkey meal has balanced calcium and phosphorus levels for bone health, and some omega fatty acids for skin and immune health. 

Chicken (Deboned, Fresh)

Chicken and turkey fat is a blend of the two fats used to coat our foods after cooking. It is a highly palatable natural flavour that helps achieve the proper fatty acid profile necessary for healthy skin and coat. It is especially good for cats, because it contains arachidonic acid, a fatty acid cats cannot produce on their own.

Chicory root extract (inulin), FOS

Chicory root extract contains high levels of fructooligosaccharides (FOS), a prebiotic fibre. These fibres provide nutritional support for the healthy microorganisms in the digestive tract, promoting the gastrointestinal health of the pet. 

Choline Chloride

A source of the B vitamin, choline. Choline controls the metabolism of other nutrients such as vitamin A and amino acids. It also ensures the proper function of the nervous system. 

Chondroitin Sulfate

Chondroitin, along with glucosamine, works to rebuild damaged joint tissues, reducing the symptoms of arthritis and other bone and joint disorders. 

Cod (fresh, deboned)

A sustainable source of lean protein from Canadian managed wild fisheries. Cod provides essential amino acids required for the growth and repair of muscle, and can also be used for energy. Cod is also a source of vitamins and minerals.  

Copper proteinate (mineral)

A chelated source of copper, an essential mineral for the manufacture of red blood cells. Copper is also an element in reactions within the cells that produce energy. It is involved in the pigmentation of hair.  

Copper sulphate

A source of copper, an essential mineral for the manufacture of red blood cells. Copper is an element in reactions within the cells that produce energy and it is involved in the pigmentation of hair. 

Cranberries

We add cranberries to our Wholesome Blend® cat foods, as an excellent source of vitamin C and a unique natural source of tannins (astringents found in plants) that help prevent harmful bacteria from thriving in the urinary tract.    

Cranberry extract powder

Cranberry extract powder is the dehydrated form of the cranberry plant and is an excellent source of vitamin C. Dried or dehydrated fruits are nutrient-dense and allow us to use more than whole fruits since they have significantly lower water content than whole or fresh fruits. 

DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid)

Docosahexaenoic acid, more commonly known as DHA, is an omega-3 essential fatty acid important for the neural development of young mammals. DHA is a major structural component of the brain as well as the most abundant fatty acid in the brain. It plays a vital role in the development of the central nervous system and retinal function for vision. 

Duck (deboned, fresh)

Duck is an excellent source of high-quality protein; it provides essential amino acids required for the growth and repair of muscle. Duck is also rich in omega 6 fatty acids, essential for healthy skin and coat. The meat is delivered to our facility on the day of production to ensure freshness.  

Egg (whole, dried)

Dried, whole, cooked eggs (minus shells) are often added to pet foods to increase the protein biological value (BV), as eggs have one of the highest BV’s of common protein sources. A high BV indicates that most of the protein absorbed will be incorporated into protein structures in the body. Protein provides key amino acids needed for the growth and repair of muscle. 

Enterococcus faecium

A natural microflora (friendly bacteria) that may help the digestion process, thus providing more efficient utilization of food and produce bacteriocins, which act as natural antibiotics.

Fenugreek

Trigonella foenum-graecum, this ingredient supports the digestive tract by promoting healthy membranes within the gut. 

Ferrous Sulfate (mineral)

A source of dietary iron required for the formation of the hemoglobin in blood cells that carry oxygen throughout the body.

Flaxseed

Whole Canadian flax seeds provide essential omega-3 fatty acids for control of the immune system and prevention of disease. Also provides dietary fibreproteins and other nutrients essential for the health of your pet. 

Folic Acid (Vitamin B9)

One of the B vitamins, folic acid acts as a co-enzyme to support the formation of DNA within the cells as well as the use of proteins from the diet to maintain body tissues. 

Ginger Root

Well known for its digestive support activities, ginger has been used for centuries as a treatment for indigestion and nausea. It also has antioxidant properties, protecting cells from free radical damage. 

Glucosamine Hydrochloride

With chondroitin, glucosamine works to form the building blocks of joint tissue, repair damage, attract fluids to the area to maintain mobility and has anti-inflammatory actions. 

Green Lipped Mussel

Green-lipped mussels contain omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids, a variety of carotenoids and other bioactive compounds that have anti-inflammatory and anti-arthritic effects that can help improve joint pain and stiffness. 

Green Tea Extract

Made from dried green tea leaves, this concentrated source of green tea is rich in catechins, a type of flavonoid that has powerful antioxidant activities, protecting cells from free radical damage. 

Herring oil (source of DHA)

Herring oil is the oil extracted from whole or parts of herring. It is one of the best sources of long-chain omega 3 fatty acids such as docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) which are critical for healthy skin and coat, proper body function and enhanced brain and eye development in young animals. DHA is also helpful in promoting cognitive function in older animals. 

Horseradish

A root vegetable, commonly used in human nutrition as a spice, has also been used for thousands of years as medicine. Horseradish contains glucosinolates and isothiocyanates which have antibacterial and anticancer properties. 

Iron proteinate

Chelated source of iron. The iron from iron proteinate is highly available, provides oxygen to the blood and helps the digestion of fatty acids. 

Juniper Berry Oil

Promotes kidney function, gastrointestinal antiseptic. 

Lactobacillus acidophilus

A natural microflora (friendly bacteria) that may help the digestion process, thus providing more efficient utilization of food and produce bacteriocins, which act as natural antibiotics.

Lactobacillus casei

Lamb Meal

Cooked lamb with water and with fat content reduced is a concentrated source of protein; it provides essential amino acids required for the growth and repair of muscle and can also be used for energy. Lamb meal has balanced calcium and phosphorus levels for bone health, and some omega fatty acids for skin and immune health. This protein source is well suited for dogs with allergies to other protein sources. 

L-Carnitine

An amino acid-like or vitamin-like compound, it helps to maintain lean body tissues and support muscles by promoting the conversion of fats to energy within the cells. 

Live Microorganisms

A natural microflora (friendly bacteria) that may help the digestion process, thus providing more efficient utilization of food and produce bacteriocins, which act as natural antibiotics.  

Manganese proteinate (mineral)

A chelated form of the essential mineral manganese, required for proper formation of bone structure and maintenance of the joint tissues (cartilage). Manganese also is part of the chemical reactions that produce energy from nutrients in the cells. 

Manganese sulphate

A source of the essential mineral manganese, which is required for proper formation of bone structure and maintenance of the joint tissues (cartilage). Manganese also is part of the chemical reactions that produce energy from nutrients in the cells. 

Menhaden Fish Meal

Dried and ground menhaden fish with water content reduced, is a concentrated source of high-quality protein; it provides essential amino acids required for the growth and repair of muscle and can also be used for energy. Menhaden fish meal has balanced calcium and phosphorus levels for bone health, and long-chain omega 3 fatty acids for skin and immune health, and brain development in young animals. 

Millet, pearled (ancient grain, Non-GMO) (GI 65)

Ground millet is the entire product obtained in grinding millet of the pearl variety. It is a nutritious grain that is high in fibre and B-complex vitamins: niacin, thiamin, riboflavin. 

Mixed Tocopherols

This a mixture of different forms of vitamin E most often used as a preservative or antioxidant to stabilize fats to prevent them from becoming rancid. 

Natural flavour

From fresh meat sources, natural flavours enhance the palatability of diets and may also provide some essential amino acids and other nutrients. 

Navy beans (GI: 27)

A good source of protein; it provides essential amino acids required for the growth and repair of muscle. Navy beans contain both insoluble and soluble fibre, promoting satiety and gastrointestinal health. The fibre content also regulates the digestion of starch, allowing a steady supply of energy. 

Niacin (Vitamin B3)

Also known as vitamin B3, niacin is used to form coenzymes that support the replacement of cells. It is also a part of the body’s own protective systems, reducing the damages caused by free radicals. 

Oatmeal (GI 53)

Oatmeal is obtained in the manufacturing of rolled oat groats or rolled oats. Oatmeal is an excellent source of highly digestible carbohydrates, protein and nutritional fibre. 

Olive oil (preserved with mixed tocopherols)

Olive oil is a vegetable oil obtained from the olive. Olive oil is regarded as a healthy dietary oil because of its high content of monounsaturated fat (mainly oleic fatty acid, an omega 9 fatty acid) and polyphenols. It is a blend of virgin oil and refined virgin oil. It commonly lacks a strong flavour. 

Omega 3 fatty acids

Polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) that have their first double carbon bond at the third position in their chain, the n-3 position. Some of these fatty acids are essential for metabolism, but the body cannot make them, such as linolenic acid (18:3 n-3), or not in sufficient quantities to promote maximum health, such as docosahexaenoic acid DHA (C22:6 n-3). 

Omega 6 fatty acids

Polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) that have their first double carbon bond at the sixth position in their chain, the n-6 position. Some of these fatty acids are essential for metabolism, but the body cannot make them. An example is linoleic acid (18:2 n-6). 

Omega 9 fatty acids

Polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) that have their first double carbon bond at the ninth position in their chain, the n-9 position. In pets, omega-9 fatty acids such as oleic acid (C18:1 n-9) can be beneficial in sparing the other essential fatty acids. 

Parsnips 

A root vegetable, similar to carrots, but with higher levels of some essential nutrients such as potassium, vitamin C and folate. They are a good source of dietary fibre. 

Pea Protein

Made from peas, the protein portion is extracted to create a low ash source of protein that provides essential amino acids such as lysine and threonine. 

Pea Starch 

Made from processed peas, pea starch is used to create a kibble texture that is hard and crunchy, promoting proper physical action against the teeth for cleaning. 

Peas 

Canadian grown peas are naturally non-GMO (genetically modified organism) and require a lower environmental footprint to grow, as they need less fertilizer application and lower maintenance. The carbohydrates provided by peas have an excellent glycemic index value (53), beneficial to promoting healthy blood sugar profiles. Peas are also an excellent source of protein and fibre. 

Phosphoric Acid

A mineral acid that helps to create an acidified urine pH, which is important for the prevention of feline urinary tract disorders. 

Pomegranate

A highly nutritious fruit, containing some of the highest levels of antioxidant polyphenols. These compounds protect cells from damaging oxidation reactions that result in disease and aging. 

Pork (deboned, fresh)

Pork is an excellent source of protein; it provides essential amino acids required for the growth and repair of muscle and can also be used for energy. The meat is delivered to our facility on the day of production to ensure freshness. 

Pork Meal

Cooked Canadian pork with water and fat content reduced is a concentrated source of protein; it provides essential amino acids required for the growth and repair of muscle and can also be used for energy. Pork meal has balanced calcium and phosphorus levels for bone health, and some omega fatty acids for skin and immune health. 

Poultry Fat

Poultry fat is a blend of chicken and turkey fat. It is used to coat our foods after cooking as a highly palatable natural flavour that helps achieve the proper fatty acid profile necessary for healthy skin and coat. It is especially good for cats because it contains arachidonic acid, a fatty acid cats cannot produce on their own.

Prebiotics

Prebiotics are functional fibres that provide nutrition for the naturally occurring "good" microbes that reside in the gastrointestinal tract and enhance gut-related immune function.  These include fructooligosaccharides (sourced from chicory root) and mannoligosaccharides (sourced from yeast extract). Prebiotics are useful to boost the effectiveness of probiotics.

Probiotics

Microorganisms that are naturally occurring in the gastrointestinal tract, which promote proper digestion, supply key nutrients and play an important role in the immune functions found within the gastrointestinal tract. By feeding probiotics, the "good" populations of microbes are replenished, and the "bad" microbes can be reduced. 

Pumpkin

Fresh, whole pumpkins are a source of dietary fibre and contain antioxidants such as beta-carotene. 

Pyridoxine hydrochloride (Vitamin B6) 

Vitamin B6, pyridoxine acts to support the production of new red and white blood cells, hormones, and other signaling molecules and enzymes that allow for the digestion of food. 

Quinoa 

One of the "ancient" grains, a source of carbohydrate energy that is palatable and provides quality protein and a well-balanced amino acid profile. It is gluten-free and is easily digested. 

Rabbit

Rabbit is a source of highly digestible protein; it provides essential amino acids required for the growth and repair of muscle and can also be used for energy. Rabbit is hypoallergenic, it’s less likely to elicit an allergic response in pets. The meat is delivered to our facility on the day of production to ensure freshness. 

Raspberries

Fresh raspberries are rich in polyphenol antioxidants, vitamin C and dietary fibre.

Riboflavin (Vitamin B2)   

Vitamin B2, riboflavin acts in the process of digestion and energy production. It also supports proper immune cell and blood cell formation.   

Rice bran

Rice bran is the bran layer and germ of whole brown rice. An excellent source of both soluble and insoluble fibre, promoting satiety and gastrointestinal health. 

Rosemary Extract

Rosemary is a highly effective natural preservative high in antioxidants. 

Salmon (deboned, fresh) 

Salmon, from wild and farmed fisheries, is a source of highly digestible protein; it provides essential amino acids required for the growth and repair of muscle and can also be used for energy. Salmon is a hypoallergenic protein source, it is less likely to trigger allergic reactions in dogs and cats. Salmon meat is delivered to our facility on the day of production to ensure freshness.   

Salmon meal 

Dried and ground salmon with water and fat content reduced, is a concentrated source of highly digestible protein; it provides essential amino acids required for the growth and repair of muscle and can also be used for energy. Salmon meal has balanced calcium and phosphorus levels for bone health, and long-chain omega 3 fatty acids for skin and immune health, and brain development in young animals. 

Salmon Oil 

Salmon oil is high in longer chain omega 3 fatty acids, specifically EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid). These are used by the body to manufacture signals that control the immune system’s responses and inflammation. 

Salt/Sodium chloride (mineral) 

A sodium and chloride supplement typically found in pet food, providing these two essential minerals. Sodium and chloride are important in helping the pet maintain proper fluid balance, regulating thirst and urinary excretion of waste materials. 

Sodium selenite (mineral)

A source of the mineral selenium which acts as a key component of the body's own antioxidant systems to protect cells from damage by free radicals. Works with vitamin E to protect cells.   

Sodium Tripolyphosphate 

A sodium salt that provides dental benefits to pets by binding to free calcium in the saliva and on the surface of the teeth, preventing or decreasing the formation of calculus. 

Spinach 

Spinach is exceptionally rich in carotenoids, including beta-carotene and lutein and contains quercetin, a phytochemical with antioxidant properties. Spinach is also a good source of essential minerals, magnesium and manganese. 

Squash

Squash or zucchini is an excellent source of beta-carotene and vitamin C, both of which have antioxidant properties, and potassium, an electrolyte essential in maintaining fluid balance, contraction of muscle fibres and proper functioning of the heart. 

Sweet potatoes 

      
Sweet potatoes are an excellent source of complex carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals and beta-carotene antioxidants. The starch in sweet potatoes converts to sugar easily and provides quick energy. Sweet potatoes are not part of the "night shade" family. 

 

Taurine (amino acid) 

An amino acid that is essential in cats, it also can be helpful for some dogs for prevention of heart diseases such as dilated cardiomyopathy. Taurine also plays a role in protection of cells with its antioxidant properties. 

Thiamin mononitrate (Vitamin B1) 

Vitamin B1, also know as thiamine, is a part of the reactions which generate energy in the cells. It is also a part of nerve cell transmission, allowing signals to be sent through the nervous system. 

Thyme

Stress reduction, antimicrobial, antifungal, antioxidant and flavour benefits. 

Tomato pomace

A source of fibre, this is the product remaining after the removal of the flesh portions of tomatoes during the production of tomato products. High in lycopene, a powerful antioxidant component that reduces oxidative stress in the body's cellular structure. 

Tomatoes

Whole tomatoes are an excellent source of vitamin C and especially rich in the carotenoid lycopene that is an important antioxidant. 

Tumeric

Curcuma longa is best known as a spice, but also contains curcumin, a powerful antioxidant. This compound is believed to have anticancer effects, as well as anti-inflammatory actions, support for the digestive tract and protective effects on the liver. 

Turkey

Turkey is an excellent source of high-quality protein; it provides essential amino acids required for the growth and repair of muscle and can also be used for energy. Turkey meat is delivered to our facility on the day of production to ensure freshness.  

Vitamin A 

Supporting vision, deficiency in vitamin A can result in night blindness. It also prevents skin problems and provides for resistance to diseases and infections. 

Vitamin B12

Acts as a co-enzyme in the synthesis of proteins for muscle and tissue maintenance, as well as for the manufacture of red blood cells to prevent anemia.

Vitamin D 

Important role in the absorption of calcium and phosphorus minerals, and controls amounts within the body to ensure proper bone structure. 

Vitamin E 

A fat-soluble vitamin, it works in the cell membranes to protect them from free radical damage. 

Vitamin K

Vitamin K is an essential nutrient for cats and is included in our cat products, under ‘vitamins’ in the ingredient deck. This vitamin is a cofactor with enzymes, it is involved in protein use, incorporation of calcium into bones and in blood clotting for prevention of hemorrhage.

Whitefish & Menhaden Fish Meal

Dried and ground whole whitefish sourced from North America, with water content reduced is a concentrated source of protein; it provides essential amino acids required for the growth and repair of muscle and can also be used for energy. Whitefish meal has balanced calcium and phosphorus levels for bone health, and long-chain omega 3 fatty acids for skin and immune health, and brain development in young animals.  

Yeast Extract

east extract is a source of the prebiotic fibremannanoligosaccharides (MOS) that promotes healthy digestive tract function and stimulates the activities of gut-related immune factors to boost function, reducing the effects of pathogenic microorganisms. 

Zinc proteinate 

A chelated source of available zinc, this trace mineral supports the manufacture of molecules in the skin and coat, healthy hair growth and scar tissue formation in the case of injury. 

Zinc sulphate 

A source of bioavailable zinc, a trace mineral required for skin and coat health. It is also part of the system that allows for use of vitamin A and is important to reproductive health. 

Zucchini

A part of the gourd family, fresh whole zucchini provides a source of vitamin C and the antioxidant lutein, important for protecting the eyes from oxidative damage.
